The shower/pool party that the gymnastics team threw for me on Sunday afternoon was absolutely WONDERFUL! It was great to be able to introduce Bill and my mom to all of the girls and parents, and for them to all meet my "better half" and the woman who enabled my gymnastics-focused childhood to occur! The Team girls are like my own kids so it was so special to share my upcoming wedding excitement with them and their parents.
The gifts were all incredibly kind and very thoughtful, but I must say that the best gift was the surprise that the girls had been working on for me ~ a book that they created full of wedding advice for Bill and I. Their varied advice was fabulous: "don't go into debt", "don't kiss in front of your children because they'll think it's gross", "keep coaching gymnastics and you'll have a good marriage", "don't date other people"... A REAL treasure!
