I just returned home from my weekly Dr's appt. Apparently, nothing has changed since last week's visit - still 2cm dilated and no effacement. However, my stomach grew about 2cm in the last week or so, so the baby seems to be growing in there, which is a very good thing (I don't think we are worried about the baby getting TOO big at this point!).
Dr. B is taking her daughter and 39 friends to the circus next Friday (2/2) so she put in a request for it not to happen that day. When I told her that was my kind of activity, she jokingly invited me to come along as another chaperone and if I go into labor there, we can go together to the hospital (although I'm not sure what would happen to all of the kids!). I don't think she realizes how seriously I actually considered this invitation, and we know that the baby LOVED Cirque a few weeks ago!
I've decided that Friday will be my last day or work, so next week I'll either be at home, or at the hospital.
Anyways, we're halfway through Week 39 now, and just waiting for a sign...
