Buckling down

It is finally time for us to really buckle down and tackle the iportant items on our t-do list. Topping the list is planning our honeymkoon trip to Thailand which is nnow only a month and a half away. We really wanted to plan this trip ourselves, without the use of a travel agent, tour group, etc. So here we are at the last minute figuring out where we want to go and when, and then booking everything related to it. We've also realized that many of the immunizations and pills that we need to take are only effective if you start taking them at least 30 days prior to your trip, so we've been hunting down information on what is required to travel to Thailand. Once again, waiting until the last minute...

I have the BEST husband in the world! He was such a trooper and woke up at 7 am this morning (Saturday, his first opportunity to sleep in in weeks!!) to travel up to Cumming with me to check out used gymnastics equipment that some folks were selling. There was a lot of stuff, and it was pretty decent, but I'm not completely sure if the prices they are asking are really worth it. I'll try a little negotiation with them and see how much they are willing to come down...

Since we were up in Cumming, we headed over to our relatives who live a mile away from there and enjoyed a grat breakfast and catching up with one another. Always fun to spend time with family, especially since we don't have the opportunity to do it very much... Good luck to Alex tonight whose band is performing at a local Atlanta venue!

Being in the northern suburbs is pretty rare for us, so we made the most of it and stopped at Todd and Kelly's on our way back down south. It is AMAZING to see how much Dillon grows every time we don't see him for a few weeks. He is really responding to everyone now - smiling, gurgling, making faces... So much fun! And he is soooo strong - what a grip and holding up his head is a piece of cake for him now. He pushes his legs strong against everything, loves to kick them around and have you move them around for him, and keep them tight and straight when you hold him in a standing up position. When can I start him in "official" training? :-)

We're also computer shopping for the house as my current laptop seems to be antiquated at this point with hardly enough memory to run various programs at the same time, support and iPod, or go from one screen to another in less than 30 seconds. We're doing our research...
