Under the weather

It's always such a bummer getting sick over the weekend. But that is how I spent this past weekend, with an incredibly sore throat, feverish, achy... I've defended myself against those little ones for long enough, I guess, but finally their little germs permeated through. And I'm sure that my exhaustion from teaching so many classes recently and my constant state of stress didn't help my immune system either. I'm hopeful that this little cold/flu will be well out of my system before we head off to Thailand in a few weeks! And hopefully it will avoid Bill, too!

The big "excitement" this weekend was the full day I spent at defensive driving school all day Saturday. Sitting there will all of those teenagers made me feel like I was in high school detention. The amount of actual driving information shared over those 6 hours likely totaled 45 minutes, at best, with the remainder of the time learning more than I cared to know about the various legal encounters of my classmates.

I am home today, trying to shake off the final stage of this little illness, getting some much-needed rest and catching up on all that has fallen to the wayside recently. A sick and mental health day in one!
