Although I didn't have the blog set up at the time we went, I didn't want to miss the opportunity to document our great trip to Toxaway, in the mountains of North Carolina, just outside of Asheville (my favorite little city!) a few weekends ago. Bill's parents have a gorgeous mountain hideaway in Lake Toxaway, NC. It was a great getaway to get out of the city and lost in the mountains for the weekend. The views from their home are gorgeous - incredible sunsets and sunrises. Great hiking right out the door, fresh mountain air, and just a feeling of relaxation and peace!
We spent one day in Asheville (1 hr drive away) where we met up with Lorrie and Jerry, and got to see their beautiful home, and spend a fun evening at the famous Asiana restaurant (rolled out of there, too!).
It was just a weekend trip, but it felt like a month's vacation. Just what the doctor ordered! When are we going back??
