As Bill phrased it this morning when I woke up, today is my official "last day of school". In actuality, it is really my final day of work before heading out on maternity leave. No baby yet, but we figured that working up to my due date was a good date to shoot for, and if the baby doesn't come for a few days, I'll have some time to rest, relax, and take care of some last minute preparations.
My fabulous colleagues took me to lunch today to "celebrate" my final day in the office (a new local salad spot, "dressed"). I will definitely miss these great ladies while I'm out of the office!
Nothing is guaranteed at this point, but it looks like the baby won't be born on Friday the 13th, a day on which I'd been dreading delivering. However, Valentine's Day is still a possibility at this point, although I'd prefer to make it past this holiday, too.
