Bill and I had a great time out at the Evergreen this afternoon tasting the food and making our selections for the big day! All of the food was DELICIOUS - there was nothing less than a perfect "10" of all that we tasted!
We got to sit at a table decorated as it will be for the wedding - candles, mirror, elegant tablecloth and chair covers.
I am not going to give away any of the menu secrets (you'll have to come to the wedding to find out what we chose to serve!), but we tasted a delicious variety of hors d'eurves(sp?), appetizers, salads, entrees (with sides!), and rolls (!!). We also tasted the different wine varieties that will be served with the reception dinner, and some champagne (after all of the drinking, I was in a perfect state to return to the Center to teach my afternoon diving class!)
I guess it made perfect sense that the chef, who sat and enjoyed all of the courses with us, hails from the Catskills area of NY, and has young kids who attend camp at the MJCCA (and I think I sold him on a few of our sports programs for his kids over lunch!).
The food at the wedding is going to be absolutely amazing, and we cannot wait for everyone to enjoy the great cuisine and service that Bill and I enjoyed this afternoon from the Evergreen!
