Community Yard Sale

Today was the much-anticipated community yard sale. I did my part all week posting ads on Craigslist for the sale. Other neighbors were in charge of signage around the area and putting an ad in the AJC newspaper. Advertising must have been pretty good, as we got a good amount of traffic through the neighbor throughout the morning. The yard salers were not busting into our garages at 8am (advertised start time), but between 8:30 and 10am there were a decent amount of people coming through. Yard salers today are serious shoppers and are looking for furniture, electronics, tools... They weren't so interested in our old sweatshirts and extra candleholders... Oh well, we didn't make a whole lot of money, but it was fun to talk with the shoppers and get to meet other neighbors. I must say, I think I prefer going shopping at yard sales myself as opposed to hosting them. A fun morning, nonetheless!
