Charleston weekend

My posting on this is a little overdue, but it was a big week last week (will return to that later). We made a last-minute decision on Friday morning to go to Charleston to visit Bill's parents. Being in Charleston was wonderful and it was great having some nice relaxing time with Bill's parents. We couldn't believe that it had been about 2 years since we were last there - time flies!

We were fortunate that we had some nice weather before the tornado warnings struck on Saturday night, and we were able to walk around downtown Charleston a bit before the storms set in. It is amazing how getting away for just 48 hours is so refreshing and really feels like an extended vacation. We were sorry that we weren't able to stay longer, but we're so glad that we made the last-minute decision to go. Hopefully there will be another trip to see the C's in the next few months, maybe in Toxaway. Another very relaxing getaway!

The trip to Charleston exposed us to the local kennel where we kept Layla while we were gone. She got a good report when we picked her up, and the owner said she really enjoyed being in the middle of everything and watching the dogs. Unfortunately, ever since we got her back from the kennel, she has been reverting to her old, bad behaviors - primarily biting and jumping. So, unfortunately, we're now working on training her to stop doing those things again...
