Today was another relaxing day... Started off sleeping in late (when was the last time I slept straight through to 10am?!?), then finally got myself out to go for a much-needed run. It was a perfect day to run - sunny skies, not too hot, slight breeze, but for some reason my legs didn't want to cooperate. What I had hoped would be a very enjoying and comfortable run became anything but. There's something going on with my ankles/shins that will hopefully disappear on its own... At least I was able to manage running off and on with walking so I did get a halfway decent workout in, even though it didn't go quite as I had hoped...
With the gorgeous skies, I needed to clock in on my sun time and ended up spending a few hours out there, truly relaxing, and even ended up finishing one of my books!
Then it was off to start the inevitable errands... Mom and Dad would be proud that I took the car in for an oil change and ended up having to pay for a few additional services (of course!), as well. Whatever it takes to keep this car running for a long time!
On the way home I stopped by the new house and was thrilled to see that ALL of the walls are now up throughout the entire house. Yippee! I continue to be impressed with how the builders continue to move along so quickly. Now that the inside of the house is coming together, we are going to become even more anxious to finally move in and make it our home! (*again, pictures will be posted when Bill returns home with the computer program to upload them!)
On my way out of the house, I ended up stopping to talk to one of our neighbors, who lives right around the corner from our new house. Turns out Leslie and I had a lot in common (college athletes, like to work out, from the North...) and quickly became fast friends. And what adorable little girls she has - too cute and so smart! It is really great to start meeting our neighbors and see how nice everyone is!
I finished off another day with Bill out of town hitting the new local restuarant across the street - a tapas place, with a mixture of Mexican, South Amjerican and Spanish fare. The yuka fries were terrific and I can't remember the last time I had such great tilapia! Yum! I'll have to take Bill there when he gets back - we could become regulars!
